Job Description

You will be joining a growing team of Fixed Income focused salespeople in Tokyo.

As an Associate / Analyst within our Fixed Income Sales team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing key financial institution client relationships, including day-to-day execution of Fixed Income Securities (mainly Sovereign and SSA), Interest Rates Derivatives products (flow and structured).

Job Responsibilities

  • Transact in these products across a broad range of clients (asset managers, insurance accounts, pension funds, banks, etc).
  • Collaborate with our partners in trading in centers across major trading hubs (Tokyo, Singapore, London etc), and research to provide comprehensive client coverage, including fulfilling client requests for market updates, assisting with the execution of client orders and providing clients with market intelligence.
  • Take responsibilities for the trade execution process including pricing, negation, trade booking and post-trade life cycle management
  • Develop and maintain strong and lasting client relationships
  • Help maximize revenue with existing clients whilst building relationships with prospective clients
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to communicate effectively and deliver the client agenda

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in execution of Fixed Income and Rates Derivatives products and a solid understanding of macroeconomics
  • Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative abilities
  • Fluent and proficient in Japanese and English to be able to communicate with local clients based in Japan (both speaking with writing)
  • Creative problem solver with ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Strong team player that is detail oriented with a highly disciplined approach to process and quality control
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in financial services

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn quickly, multi-task and self-manage priorities
