As a Risk Management - Credit Risk Controllers & Analytics – Associate within the Credit Risk Controller & Analytics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity for the wholesale allowance results and supporting insightful analyses related to Allowance for Credit Losses to senior management. You will have the opportunity to develop knowledge and technical expertise of the credit loss estimation process and improve analytical and control capabilities through new Business Intelligent Solutions.

We are seeking an analytical team member to join our Credit Risk Controller & Analytics team. This role requires the ability to engage in reviewing and syndicating the wholesale allowance results with stakeholders and analyzing the allowance impacts of alternative scenarios. The ideal candidate should be able to understand, challenge, and narrate the story behind the numbers.

Job responsibilities

  • Play a significant role in ensuring the integrity of the wholesale allowance results that are disclosed externally and providing insightful analyses to senior management
  • Support the syndication of credit loss estimates across finance and risk. Partner broadly with stakeholders to thoroughly vet change drivers for accuracy and reasonableness
  • Engage in rapid, ad hoc analysis of allowance impacts for questions related to alternative scenario “what-ifs” – often shared with executive management
  • Assist in the production of credit cost analytics and commentary used for Q/A preparations, and external reporting
  • Develop new Business Intelligent Solutions (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx etc.) to improve analytical and control capabilities
  • Challenge the status quo, build relationships with team members across the organization

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in risk management, finance or data analytics
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong executive presence and judgment to gain credibility and respect amongst senior stakeholders
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent desktop skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office applications

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in understanding, interpreting, and implementing regulatory requirements is preferred but not required.
  • Understanding of credit costs is preferred but not required.
