Job Description

We are seeking an Associate to be part of the Legal Entity Controller team that ensures timely financial regulatory reports and manages the general ledger.

As a Finance - Legal Entity Controller - Associate within the Legal Entity Controller team, you will be responsible for the performance of the legal entity control function. This includes the timely preparation and submission of financial regulatory reports, management of the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. You will have the opportunity to liaise with internal and external auditors, coordinate with the technology team on regulatory reporting projects, and support new business initiatives and projects. This role provides a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to and learn from the company's financial operations.

Job responsibilities

  • Prepare regulatory reports for submission to various regulators such as Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Securities and Exchange Commission, Bureau of Internal Revenue, and Philippine Deposit Insurance Commission, among others
  • Keep abreast with regulatory and accounting changes and comply with these changes
  • Manage the general ledger and other accounting records to ensure its integrity
  • Perform month-end close processes and financial analysis
  • Support the lines of business on any new business initiatives and projects
  • Maintain high level of control standards within the team
  • Coordinate with technology team on regulatory reporting projects and system enhancements
  • Liaise with internal and external and other regulatory auditors

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
  • Minimum of 5 years of Accounting, Auditing or Finance experience
  • Good knowledge of the Philippines Financial Reporting Standards
  • Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills
  • Highly motivated and ability to work independently and collaborate with others in fast-paced environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Knowledge in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • High Microsoft Excel proficiency
  • Project management skills
