Join our Global Investment Banking M&A Group as an Associate.
As an Associate in Japan M&A team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team and to be involved in real-time transactions that can shape the industry landscape and global economy. You will play a key role in our business origination and transaction execution. This role will allow you to showcase your strong functional skills and develop towards a leadership role, originating and executing your own transactions. We value your enthusiasm for J.P. Job responsibilities
- Participate in the "full cycle" of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting client presentations and day-to-day work for M&A process management
- Cover clients across all sectors instead of being specialized in certain industry sector
- Liaise with other team members and other product groups such as ECM, DCM and Markers to implement originations and executions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- More than 3 years work experience in an investment banking front office role
- A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
- Strong financial analytical skills
- Understands transaction cycle and the steps in the process
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, professionals and counterparties both in Japanese and English
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently/proactively
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Accounting/Finance/Legal knowledge
