The Business Implementation and Regulatory Strategy (Americas) will be responsible for the design, execution and strategic direction of work addressing business and regulatory requirements across Lines of Business and Risk Functions for climate, nature and social risk topics.

As part of Risk Management and Compliance, you are at the center of keeping JPMorgan Chase (JPMC) strong and resilient. You help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers and communities.
The Climate, Nature and Social (CNS) Risk Management team serves to protect JPMC via a firmwide framework that informs risk appetite and defines governance processes. This involves identifying and managing climate, nature and social risks both at a transactional and portfolio level.
As an Executive Director within the Climate, Nature and Social Risk, Business Implementation & Regulatory Strategy (Americas) team, you will take on a strategic leadership role and manage operations to ensure the organization's resilience and growth. Your responsibilities will include leveraging your risk management expertise and stakeholder engagement skills to promote responsible business expansion. You will also anticipate and mitigate emerging risks in the climate, nature, and social risk regulatory space. Leading a team, fostering a culture of innovation, and maintaining a robust compliance framework will also be integral parts of your role.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with Lines of Business and firmwide Risk Management functions to identify, design, prioritize and implement climate, nature and social risk-related business requirements and inform the team’s future analytical capabilities
- Lead firmwide risk exposure deep dives and strategic projects related to climate, nature and social risks, leveraging expertise in risk management and the firm’s businesses and portfolios and present results to senior management.
- Serve as regional (Latin America/Canada/US) lead on implementation with the firm’s Legal Entities (LE) to drive compliance with firmwide climate, nature and social risk frameworks and policies; partner with LE Chief Risk Officers to support ongoing governance on these risks through regional legal entity boards and risk committees
- Build and maintain strong relationships and open communication channels with colleagues across Lines of Business and Risk Management functions
- Drive firmwide global consistency in regulatory responses, working closely with Regulatory Affairs and Corporate Sustainability teams and other CNS Risk regional team leads, staying abreast of the latest industry and regulatory guidance/requirements and trends
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor degree and 8+ years of experience in financial services with particular focus on credit/counterparty and/or market risk management and working knowledge of climate/ environmental risk
- Solid understanding of risk management methodologies across asset classes, working knowledge of derivative products and enterprise risk management processes
- Strong project manager and problem-solver with a pragmatic approach for successful execution with ability to prioritize deliverables as well as navigate a large, complex organization and drive consensus and collaboration
- Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to build effective working relationships and partner with key stakeholders across Lines of Business at all grades
- Proven experience of interacting with regulators and driving adherence to regulatory requirements
- Excellent communicator, with the ability to convey information effectively, accurately, and succinctly
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Master's degree is preferred.
