You are a strategic and analytical manager, passionate about sales enablement. You have found the right team.
As the Senior Vice President of Strategic Sales and Business Development Manager in the SMB Chase Payment Solutions organization, you will oversee pilot execution, manage feedback workstreams to support product development, and enhance sales enablement through effective management of your team. Your direct reports will primarily engage with both Chase and non-Chase customers via telephone and email. These team members are individual contributors with specific goals and assignments.
Job responsibilities
- Build a high-performing hybrid sales and project team through effective hiring, talent development, and performance management.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Commercialization, and Business Development to identify opportunities for product development, lead generation, and customer testimonials.
- Cross-sell new products and value-added services to the existing client base to reduce attrition.
- Manage inbound leads for marketing experiments at various stages of the sales cycle.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to grow revenue, market share, and profitability.
- Implement initiatives to free up proactive capacity within the sales organization.
- Lead future product pilots before general availability, serving as a test center for controlled testing and faster feedback loops.
- Gather feedback and results from team activities to suggest program improvements to internal partners and consistently track and evaluate business results to ensure objectives are met.
- Coach, mentor, and provide weekly feedback to team members and the executive team.
- Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment that promotes a culture of pride and appreciation.
- Take ownership of sales readiness for our latest payment platform, consulting on the onboarding process, post-onboarding experience, and evaluating product and feature functionality standards.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience in sales, project management, or product roles within financial services/payments, and 3+ years of management experience.
- Strong knowledge of the merchant services industry, including products and services.
- Proficiency in crafting persuasive presentations and creating impactful slide decks for senior leadership.
- Ability to manage activities that align with a product roadmap and effectively partner with internal teams toward a common goal.
- Results-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to anticipate business needs and develop supporting strategies.
- Desire to exceed expectations and quotas.
- Ability to pivot between projects in a technology-driven environment and build capacity modeling around it.
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, including pipeline management and forecasting.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) and SharePoint.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, takes pride in achievements, possesses a high-achieving personality, and maintains a positive attitude, all driven by intrinsic motivation.
- Establishes and consistently uses a disciplined process to manage time strategically to accomplish business objectives.
