As the Global Clearing & Cross Currency Business Control Manager - Executive Director within the Treasury Services Payment Rails product lines, you will engage with Product, Operations, and Technology to create a complete E2E control program. This pivotal role involves leading a team to develop a comprehensive end-to-end control program, ensuring a best-in-class control environment across products.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and drive multiple strategic initiatives, ensuring timely and effective program oversight and execution.
- Design and implement robust control frameworks, governance structures, and performance metrics.
- Oversee control-related activities, including operational risk events, issue management, and risk/control identification.
- Lead remediation efforts and ensure the sustainability of control changes due to ineffectiveness or regulatory/policy shifts.
- Manage Audit, Compliance, and Regulatory reviews with precision.
- Conduct root cause assessments and recommend effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Provide expert guidance on corporate policies, risk, and control management.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the firm, including Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Technology control functions, to drive consistent and rigorous operational risk practices.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in a Control Manager function or strong knowledge of Risk and Control principles.
- In-depth knowledge of risks, controls, and relevant regulations and standard industry processes.
- Proven ability to prioritize effectively against complex business demands and deliver on multiple priorities.
- Strong capability to navigate complex environments and drive alignment around a common vision and strategy.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with colleagues, business leaders, and functional partners.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and succinct verbal and written updates.
- Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrating critical thinking and attention to detail; able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) with the ability to develop compelling executive presentations that drive opportunities and recommendations for improvement.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Comprehensive understanding of financial markets products and the transaction life cycle in foreign exchange transactions.
- Experience in Product and/or Operational functions.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing significant improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with Change Management principles.
