As a Senior Product Associate within the Discoverability and Shopping Experiences team, you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success.

Job responsibilities

  • Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery
  • Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience
  • Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers
  • Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle
  • Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development
  • Partner within an Agile Product team to maintain a robust backlog and ensure successful end-to-end delivery of initiatives
  • Refine Epics into executable Stories, detailing requirements and acceptance criteria for engineering teams to deliver business value in each release
  • Analyze and verify business requirements for completeness and consistency, and research existing capabilities to leverage or supplement with new testable requirements
  • Collaborate with Digital Customer Experience partners to deliver content aligned with wireframes and approvals, and drive timely delivery by meeting sprint and release goals
  • Participate in technical desk checks and User Acceptance Testing, prioritizing and resolving critical defects, and validating implemented features post-production.
  • Engage in recurring Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, refinement sessions, desk checks, PO sign-offs, defect reviews, sprint reviews, and retrospectives

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle
  • Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition
  • Build knowledge in data analytics and data literacy to support informed decision-making
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical requirements and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute projects successfully, managing tight timelines and adapting in dynamic environments
  • Synthesize complex information to make quick decisions, take calculated risks, and iterate approaches as needed
  • Prioritize projects based on business needs and industry trends, demonstrating commitment and self-motivation in a start-up setting
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and JIRA, and apply experience from financial services, retail banking, digital payments, and online/mobile platforms

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Apply experience with API-based designs, microservices, web services, and responsive web design principles
  • Read and interpret React JS code and API service definitions to understand system behavior and integration points
  • Utilize Adobe Experience Manager, and Figma to support project management and design collaboration
  • Demonstrate understanding of Quality Assurance best practices and various testing types
