Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Originate credit leads from prospects and existing clients, and lead credit marketing initiatives for the local market. Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money, and use Spanish language to present credit ratings to the risk committee. Perform due diligence on illiquid financial assets, focusing on investment thesis and market trends, in order to develop credit application, and prepare reports in Spanish that summarize credit information for LATAM business management's approval. Act as internal sales leader for the credit product, liaising in Spanish with Market Managers, Bankers, and Investors to ensure credit is a core part of the company's offering. Partner with Senior Bankers to uncover needs, deliver sophisticated and innovative solutions to client using Spanish language, and prospect financings or restructurings. Lead strategic business development opportunities by managing complex borrowing relationships and presenting tailored credit solutions to institutional clients, primarily communicating with LATAM clients in Spanish during presentations. Conduct extensive industry research to inform senior management on emerging trends and competitive positioning in the credit and derivatives markets in order to derive strategic business insights. Maintain a quality credit book, regularly participating in active client dialogue and promptly escalating candidates. Follow up on all client-related credit issues (e.g., missed margin calls, legal documentation, etc.) Liaise with loan underwriters to implement changes to debt structure/risk ratings in response to changes in risk environment. Mentor junior-level analysts, fostering their professional development and ensuring they produce high-quality deliverables. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel to JPMC offices for internal meetings and trainings, as well as up to 10% international travel for client meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Business Management, Economics, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Lending Specialist, Asset & Wealth Management Program Analyst, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills: private banking or commercial banking; credit, loans, and deposit products. This position requires any amount of experience with the following skills: conducting financial risk assessment and financial analysis for Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) individuals; underwriting various asset classes, including securities-based loans, structured lending, and private equity; evaluating and managing risk across different types of wealth management lending products; advising clients on financial products and balance sheet management strategies; structuring sophisticated financial solutions to meet client objectives; assessing financial data in order to identify client needs regarding their financial position, net worth, and credit metrics; drafting financial documentation including financial covenants, wording to determine events of default, and other transaction-specific literature for different types of loan structuring processes; ensuring adherence to industry standards and legal guidelines; building and maintaining client relationships; wealth management credit products and concepts including investment management, lending to different types of Trusts, financial planning, and concentrated stock collateral analysis; different types of lending including specialty lending, concentrated collateral loans, unsecured lending, marketable secured lending, aircraft finance, and art lending; financial regulations and compliance requirements, including Regulation U, Regulation K, and Fair Lending rules and regulations. This position requires oral, auditory, and written fluency in the Spanish language.

Job Location: 390 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10017. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel to JPMC offices for internal meetings and trainings, as well as up to 10% international travel for client meetings.
