Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for you to lead analytics and AI initiatives, drive career growth, and shape the future of Card Data & Analytics

As a Lead Data Scientist in Card Data & Analytics Competitive Intelligence and AI, you will partner with stakeholders to deliver impactful analytics, manage and develop teams, and provide strategic insights to support growth and innovation across the Card business

Job responsibilities

  • Establish partnerships with Card stakeholders to align and deliver the analytics roadmap for Competitive Intelligence and Gen AI initiatives
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to answer high-priority business questions across the Card business
  • Lead teams of data scientists and analytics professionals, overseeing development and execution of analytics initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by recommending analytics best practices and methods to identify impactful opportunities
  • Identify and articulate market insights and competitor trends using multiple external data sets
  • Guide project teams in aggregating competitive intelligence data and synthesizing findings for stakeholders
  • Manage, develop, and retain talent while fostering an inclusive team environment

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, or Finance
  • Five years applied experience in analytics and leading teams of analysts
  • Five years experience with SQL and at least one analytical tool: Python, R, or SAS
  • Experience with visualization techniques for data analysis and presentation
  • Superior problem-solving, written, oral communication, and presentation skills with experience communicating effectively with all levels of management and partners

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in financial services, digital, or customer experience analytics
  • Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and Tableau
  • Familiarity with AI and market intelligence
