The Risk Management & Compliance Chief Data Office (RM&C CDO) team is looking for an Analyst level candidate to support delivery of RM&C CDO mandates related to the Data Risk Management Policy and Standard, assist in implementation of CDO strategy and partner with various stakeholders across the firm to carry out data governance responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with various functions across Risk Management & Compliance overseeing delivery of Firm wide Data Management and RM&C CDO initiatives coupled with standard BAU activities. This is a high impact role that will require an ability to leverage Risk Management experience, multitask and deliver simultaneously on various initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Risk Management & Compliance Lead in implementing and maintaining Data Quality Framework.
- Monitor progress against established goals and milestones
- Contribute to the development, management and monitoring of project plans
- Support RM&C CDO communication strategy
- Provide status updates to stakeholders and escalate risks/issues to leadership as needed
- Prepare and deliver effective presentations and updates to the team, leadership and stakeholders
- Identify and escalate risks, issues and dependencies impacting project execution
- Maintaining strong working relationships with RM&C CDO stakeholders, which include Risk Management, Business Process Owners, Data Providers, Data Owners, Data Quality Managers, Control Managers; other CDOs and key data-related roles across Business and Technology to facilitate effective communication.
- Identify, evaluate and drive operational improvements across RM&C CDO team
- Develop and maintain process and control documentation (e.g., standard operating procedures, process flows, data flows)
- Actively participate and contribute to working groups and forums
Required Experience, Skills and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree required with 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in one of the following areas- Finance, Risk Controller, Internal/External Reporting, Business Analysis, Data Governance, Project management.
- Strong Financial Acumen and knowledge of Banking and Investment Products - Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to drive projects to completion.
- Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets in Excel.
- Excellent RM&Citten and verbal communication skills.
- Effective change management skills - ability to support & adapt within a changing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective credible relationships with business and technology partners.
Preferred Experience, Skills and Qualification:
- Experience with Risk management related applications/tools; Conceptual understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and SQL would be advantageous.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as QlikView, Alteryx is useful
- Familiar with PowerPoint basics and storytelling.
- Self-starter, able to work autonomously, with strong time management skills; efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time, to a high standard
