Join our Emerging Markets Fixed Income Strategy team in London, using your quantitative expertise to analyze global markets and identify investment opportunities.
Are you ready to make an impact in the world of emerging markets? As an Associate in our Emerging Markets Fixed Income Strategy team, you will leverage your quantitative skills to analyze Local Rates, FX, and Sovereign Credit across global emerging and frontier markets. You will collaborate with a leading research team, contribute to innovative market analysis, and help drive investment strategy at the cutting edge of financial markets.
As an Associate Global EM Quantitative Strategist, you will conduct thematic research using quantitative techniques, assist in writing concise analysis, develop systematic and quantitative EM fixed income strategies, and model EM asset prices. You will work closely with the Head of EM Strategy and team members to deliver actionable insights.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct global EM strategy thematic research using quantitative techniques to analyze market developments.
- Assist in writing clear and concise analysis for internal and external audiences.
- Develop systematic and quantitative EM fixed income strategies.
- Model EM asset prices to support investment decisions.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Quantitative PhD in economics, finance, or STEM subject.
- Practical work experience in financial markets or a comparable analytical role (buy side, sell side, IFI, or central bank experience considered).
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, especially in statistics and econometrics.
- Programming skills required.
- Experience in creating/backtesting trading strategies and “quantamental” approaches to fixed income and FX preferred.
- Ability to learn new quantitative techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with good presentation abilities.
- Good interpersonal skills and a proven team player.
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
