J.P. Morgan’s Commercial & Investment Banking (CIB) business is one of the largest wholesale banking client franchises in the world. The CIB Research & Analytics (CIB R&A) vertical works with global teams across the Banking, Markets, Wholesale Payments, Security Services, Strategy and Research business segments. The Centralized Research Group (CRG) is part of CIB R&A covering Banking globally. It works closely with the firm’s Investment Banking (IB), Commercial Banking (CB) and Global Corporate Banking (GCB) teams offering customized financial solutions.
As an Information Specialist in the Centralized Research Group (CRG) – Asia Pacific CEO Support, you will work directly with senior representatives from the firm’s CEO office in Asia Pacific. You will prepare, compile, and coordinate meeting planners, agendas, itineraries, and briefing materials. You will conduct research related to country, market, and industry trends, source public information, and coordinate with relevant teams to gather and process information. You will also track and update details on key events, extract financial metrics, and draft follow-up communication, all while maintaining organized documentation and using efficiency tools to enhance productivity.
Job responsibilities
- Prepare, compile and coordinate on meeting planners, agendas, itineraries and briefing materials
- Conduct research related to country, market and industry trends and prepare summaries
- Source public information including company reports, equity and credit research reports, news runs and press articles, management / board biographies and company / organization structures
- Co-ordinate with relevant teams to gather, organize and process information from multiple documents, emails and other sources, and create summaries in Email, Word or PowerPoint format
- Regularly track and update details on key internal and external events, conferences and investor summits
- Extract and summarize financial metrics and KPIs in Excel spreadsheets and create summary outputs
- Draft event-based and other follow-up communication as required
- Prepare, compile and coordinate materials for internal governance meetings attended by the management team (weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc business sessions and reviews)
- Maintain all materials, back-ups and event related documentation in organized internal folders / databases
- Use efficiency tools to enhancing tracking of meetings, documentation in MS Office applications as well as achieving faster turnaround times by efficiently processing large volumes of information
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor / Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or other related areas
- Excellent command over Microsoft applications – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively interact with senior professionals / key stakeholders and ability to operate in a lean team structure
- Good business acumen and understanding of banking, markets, corporate and group structures, product lines and financial statements
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Able to extract and comprehend relevant information from equity and credit research reports, macroeconomic reports and other third-party research
- Ability to source information from different sources and work on large volumes of data
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 2-5 years of experience in business management, business research / CXO support in financial services setups
- Proactive, highly organized with meticulous attention to details
- Ability to multitask several projects and deliver quality output under tight timelines
- Knowledge of using AI/new age tools with an eye for automation
