Asset Management APAC Client Data - Senior Associate

As an Asset Management APAC Client Data Senior Associate in the APAC Client Data Team, you oversee key data processes and partner with global teams, APAC stakeholders, and external vendors. You support day-to-day operations, data governance, and strategic initiatives, helping us deliver high-quality client and financial data solutions across the region. You will work with us to enhance data products, resolve exceptions, and promote best practices in data management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management, quality, and integrity of client and financial data across APAC, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements
  • Support day-to-day data operating models, including data collection, validation, exception handling, and timely resolution of data-related issues
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing data models and flows
  • Contribute to the design, assessment, and implementation of data product enhancements and new data solutions
  • Support data governance initiatives, including the development and enforcement of data quality standards, controls, and best practices
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports, dashboards, and analytics to support business decision-making and management information needs
  • Partner with internal teams, global stakeholders, and external vendors to gather requirements, address data inquiries, and deliver effective data solutions
  • Conduct training sessions and communicate data best practices to business and product teams, promoting a culture of data excellence
  • Manage multiple priorities, communicate progress, and effectively track deliverables to completion
  • Ensure high levels of accuracy and integrity in managing sensitive client and product data

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field from a recognized institution
  • Professional qualifications attained from reputable training institutes or professional bodies are highly regarded
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data management, analytics, or related initiatives within financial services
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to analyze large data sets, summarize findings, recommend feasible solutions, and explain complex ideas and methods to business partners
  • Ability to build relationships and influence across a large, matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong project and agile management skills; able to manage multiple priorities, communicate progress, and effectively track deliverables to completion
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
  • High level of accuracy and integrity in managing sensitive client and product data
  • Open-minded, respectful, collaborative, and supportive of a diverse and inclusive culture

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Understanding of asset management business (investment management, mutual funds, managed accounts, and/or separate accounts)
  • General knowledge of exchange traded funds and other investment-related products
  • Experience working with large data sets and data tools such as Python, Pyspark, or SQL
  • Experience with SQL is preferred
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese
