As a Vice President in the Subsidiary Banking team, you will be responsible and serve as the local contact point at JPMorgan Tokyo Branch for subsidiaries of Multinational clients operating in Japan. You will develop business plans for clients and maintain existing business relationships, marketing in scope products and conducting in depth client analysis to provide comprehensive financial solutions. The role reports into the Head of Japan Subsidiary Banking.
Job responsibilities
- Build and develop Treasurer level coverage of Corporate Bank selected Multinational clients in Japan
- Develop forward looking business plans for clients and maintain existing business relationships.
- Be responsible for partnering with HQ coverage banker teams and regional bankers to pursue and deliver financial goals
- Be responsible for Marketing in-scope Investment Banking products (including: traditional credit product, private placements, ABS/Conduit, FX, Flow derivatives, Commodities, Sales and Trading) and all non-Investment Banking products (including but not limited to: Treasury Services including cash and liquidity solutions and trade solutions, etc., Credit Offering, Securities Services, and Asset Wealth Management), through integrated Treasurer level coverage
- Conduct comprehensive client analysis to identify business needs that can be met with JPMorgan's broad array of corporate banking products across debt capital markets, risk management, treasury and securities services and asset management, etc.
- Own KYC for multinational subsidiaries in Japan, applying in-depth client understanding and a proactive approach to risk, compliance, and controls to grow JP Morgan’s business sustainably.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experienced Client Relationship Multinational banker, with strong industry and client knowledge and a with proven ability to build and develop client relationships, win new business, close transactions and develop networks, both internally and externally
- Sales experience including strong industry and client knowledge. Experience around KYC and AML / CTF governance control is essential
- Able to work with many different types of people, including investment bankers, traders, sales operations support, credit, oversea stakeholders and senior management
- Demonstrable credit knowledge, as well as solid knowledge of corporate banking products including but not limited to flow derivatives, FX, commodities, transaction banking and securities
- Strong knowledge and experience in cash & liquidity management sales/product is a requirement.
- Strong influencing skills and proven track record of managing cross cultural environments
- Fluent in Japanese and English both spoken and written
