The Risk Control team provides leadership to create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols. As a Risk Control Manager, you will be part of a diverse and talented team dedicated to oversight of the control framework for Asset Wealth Risk Management. You’ll foster relationships with our global business partners and other stakeholders across the organization to promote early operational risk identification and assessment, effective design and evaluation of controls and sustainable solutions to mitigate operational risk.
As a Risk Control Manager in the Asset Wealth Risk Management team, you play a key role in driving our risk and control strategy. You help us identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks, ensuring our business remains strong and resilient. Together, we foster a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver sustainable solutions and support our commitment to excellence. Additionally, this is a dynamic role in Firmwide Risk Control Management with responsibility for leading and enhancing a control framework which supports a continuous and integrated approach to risk assessment. Job Responsibilities
- Lead execution of the control and operational risk evaluation framework
- Assess business processes to identify and analyze risk and control issues
- Verify controls are properly designed and operating effectively
- Analyze risk and control data to resolve issues and identify trends
- Evaluate the impact of new policies, standards, and technology solutions
- Track and manage issues and action plans to ensure timely completion
- Prepare for and support regulatory, audit, and internal reviews
- Implement firmwide control initiatives for Asset Wealth Risk Management
- Collaborate with business partners, operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators, and technology teams
- Communicate findings and recommendations to management
- Drive continuous improvement in the control environment
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance in financial services
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to lead and deliver projects under tight deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Experience developing executive presentations
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Master’s degree or MBA
- Experience in Asset Wealth Management or Private Bank Risk
- Familiarity with control frameworks and risk assessment methodologies
- Experience supporting regulatory or audit reviews
- Knowledge of change management protocols
- Ability to influence and gain consensus among stakeholders
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools
