As a Senior Lead Applied AI Engineer at JPMorgan Chase, you will be a key member of an agile team focused on enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products. You will leverage deep technical expertise and advanced problem-solving skills to drive significant business impact, architecting and implementing scalable, secure, and high-quality machine learning solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide regular technical guidance and direction to business units, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
- Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor to executive leadership, offering strategic recommendations on machine learning initiatives.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code.
- Review and debug code written by others to ensure best practices and code quality.
- Promote software and model quality, integrity, and security across the organization.
- Drive decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
- Architect and oversee the development of next-generation machine learning models and systems using cutting-edge technologies.
- Ensure the platform supports complex use cases, including real-time predictions, big data processing, and advanced analytics.
- Drive innovation in machine learning solutions, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and future-proof architecture.
- Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate for firmwide frameworks, tools, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Proven experience in technical leadership and providing guidance to engineering teams.
- Strong expertise in developing, reviewing, and debugging secure, high-quality production code.
- Deep knowledge of machine learning, big data processing, and advanced analytics.
- Experience architecting scalable and flexible machine learning platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and influence technology adoption.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in consumer and community banking.
- Familiarity with firmwide frameworks, tools, and SDLC best practices.
- Track record of contributing to the engineering community and promoting best practices.
