Executive Director, Government Relations, Security and Resiliency Initiative

JPMorgan Chase is hiring an Executive Director to champion its ambitious Security and Resiliency Initiative (SRI), a decade-long, $1.5 trillion effort to strengthen industries essential to national economic security and resiliency.
As an Executive Director within Global Government Relations, you will collaborate internally across government relations, legal, risk, and business teams to advance Security and Resiliency Initiative priorities externally in the sectors of supply chain and advanced manufacturing, defense and aerospace, energy, and emerging and strategic technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the firm’s internal expert and strategic advisor on current policy, political landscape and government funding processes related to SRI sector industries and investments
Act as a source of intelligence for senior business leaders as they shape their SRI business strategies
Lead across verticals to ensure a coordinated, collaborative approach that leverages and elevates expertise and ensures consistency of messaging
Represent the Firm’s interests in Washington, DC relating to Security and Resiliency Initiative and effectively communicating with policymakers and other stakeholders.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Subject matter expertise: brings extensive knowledge, experience and insights about SRI issue areas, especially vis-a-vis policy, regulation, commercial interests
- Commercial mindset and background
- Understanding of government and experience developing public policy; experience in government at the congressional or executive levels
- Proven management experience and ability to develop and sustain strong working relationships across complex organizations and ability to influence multiple stakeholders
- Credibility: is known and respected in Washington DC for expertise
- Sound judgment: Able to distill complex information and evaluate diverse needs, perspectives, risks and other considerations to develop and articulate sound points of view to inform business decisions in a rapidly evolving policy environment
- Excellent communicator; experienced public speaker, able to represent the firm in a variety of internal and external forums
