As a User Acceptance Testing Test Analyst within the Fund Accounting Quality Assurance Team, you play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of robust and reliable financial technology solutions. You collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to design, execute, and manage comprehensive testing processes. Your expertise supports the integrity and performance of applications across the capital markets and fund accounting domains.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide input to the User Acceptance Testing Test Strategy and Plan
- Collaborate closely with operations subject matter experts, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to produce test plans and strategies
- Coordinate test execution across project work streams
- Design and develop test scripts, both manual and automated, for assigned applications
- Report, follow up, and track software and process defects to closure
- Ensure test environments and test data are prepared and maintained for testing
- Escalate issues to Project Managers or Program Managers via the Test Lead
- Analyze and review requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Assist in the definition and measurement of quality gates, and generate stage and progress reports as defined by the project
- Operate across system, acceptance, and regression test phases of projects
- Ensure that test deliverables are produced, including test plans and test specifications, according to the size and phase of the project, within agreed timescales, budget, and quality standards
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities
- 3+ years of experience in software testing, software engineering, or finance domains involving capital markets, mutual funds, and fixed income products
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, commerce, or Master of Business Administration in finance from a reputed university, with industry certifications in software testing, Software Development Life Cycle models, Agile, or DevOps delivery
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, testing lifecycle, test design techniques, and bug reporting protocols
- Proficiency in web and Microsoft Windows applications, including troubleshooting skills
- Experience with test management tools such as Hewlett Packard Application Lifecycle Management and Jira
Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities
- Domain expertise in fund accounting, portfolio accounting, capital markets, investment banking, custody operations, and transfer agency
- Prior experience of delivering testing projects in the areas of mutual funds, fund accounting, alternative investments, and capital markets
- Excellent communication skills
