Job Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing technical guidance and direction to business units, engineering teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more specialized areas of AI and machine learning.
- Advise executive leadership as a trusted thought leader, offering strategic recommendations on machine learning initiatives.
- Architect, develop, and oversee the implementation of next-generation machine learning models and systems.
- Ensure solutions support complex use cases, including real-time predictions, big data processing, and advanced analytics.
- Develop, review, and debug secure, high-quality production code, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Promote software and model quality, integrity, and security across the organization.
- Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
- Foster innovation in machine learning solutions, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and future-proof architecture.
- Advocate for and contribute to firmwide frameworks, tools, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.

Actively engage with the engineering community to promote best practices and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
- Proven experience in technical leadership and providing guidance to engineering teams.
- Strong expertise in developing, reviewing, and debugging secure, high-quality production code.
- Deep knowledge of machine learning, big data processing, and advanced analytics.
- Experience architecting scalable and flexible machine learning platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and influence technology adoption.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise executive leadership.
- Technical Skills Python, AWS Cloud (Lambda, ECS, Glue, SQS, etc.), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI/Agents, NLU/NLP, Large Language Models (LLM), MLOps, CI/CD, SDLC.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in consumer and community banking.
- Familiarity with firmwide frameworks, tools, and SDLC best practices.
- Track record of contributing to the engineering community and promoting best practices.
- Preferred/Additional Skills Google ADK, LangGraph, Snowflake.
