Job responsibilities
- Provide actionable insights from primary research to support customer-focused decision-making and solve key business questions.
- Lead, advise, and conduct strategic research projects, both qualitative and quantitative.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify research needs and ensure effective project support.
- Design and execute ad-hoc and ongoing tracker studies to gather customer and market insights.
- Communicate and integrate research findings to inform strategy, marketing, product, and design decisions.
- Manage and optimize relationships with external research agencies.
- Promote a customer-centric approach across the organization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including design, product, marketing, and CX teams.
- Proactively initiate and execute new research initiatives, including trend analysis and forecasting.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices, continuously improving research processes and approaches.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- More than 10 years of experience in a data-related role or equivalent position in the retail industry, focused on customer operations.
- Strong ability to manage your own workload and deliver results independently.
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English, written and spoken.
- Deep understanding of data usage, data literacy, and data tools.
- Experience working with and querying data, with a high attention to data accuracy.
- Ability to explain complex data and insights to non-data users.
- Proficiency with data tools such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, Jupyter, or Presto.
- Knowledge and understanding of data models.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ideas from concept to execution.
- Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management, and leadership-level presentation skills.
