As a Process Improvement Associate I within the OEO Home Lending team, you will be responsible for supporting the coordination of tasks, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery while adhering to the quality standards. The associate participates in the end-to-end configuration process, including conceptualization and design, and conducts application testing to validate functionality and performance. Managing internal client relationships between the business, finance, key stakeholders, and solution users is a key responsibility, along with maintaining support for internally built solutions to ensure scalability and robustness.

OEO provides Home Lending with innovative tools to better serve customers, guides employees through change and ensures successful adherence to core functions and regulatory requirements. OEO is the centralized utility responsible for managing business change, resolving escalated customer complaints, developing automated business solutions, executing program management, leading employee readiness, responding to employee feedback, ensuring proper fee treatments, processing vendor invoices and providing oversight and foundational support.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review and understand business requirements and determine feasibility of development
  • Assist in project management efforts by supporting the coordination of tasks, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery, while adhering to budget and quality standards
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall project outcomes
  • Participate in the end-to-end configuration process including conceptualization and design
  • Conduct application testing to validate functionality and performance
  • Manage internal client relationships between the business, finance, key stakeholders, and solution users
  • Maintain support for internally built solutions ensuring scalability and robustness
  • Create executive-level presentations and status updates provided to clients and stakeholders
  • Customize reports to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making

    Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Knowledge in handling or delivering process innovation projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to support the delivery of high-quality results under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving ability
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to systematically organize, compare, and evaluate various aspects of a situation to identify key or underlying information
  • Communication: Effectively communicate complex financial concepts and calculations to management or internal/external parties in a clear and succinct manner
  • Problem Solving: Identify and differentiate the symptoms and root causes of issues and problems
  • Project Management: Lead or actively participate in projects, including assisting systems support groups with design, programming, analysis, testing, and implementation
  • Building Relationships: Adopt and exhibit practices to strengthen and maintain productive relationships, managing internal and external client expectations
  • Time Management: Effectively prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines and project goals

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • External applicants: College level with at least 2 years of hands-on project delivery experience and familiarity with in-application guidance tools.
  • Internal applicants: At least 1 year of hands-on project delivery experience and familiarity with in-application guidance tools.
  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry, with knowledge of banking products.
  • Coursework or demonstrated interest in finance or business analytics is a plus.
  • Understanding of common web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Knowledge of one or more data mining or transformation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Trifacta, SQL Oracle, Toad, Visual Studio) is an advantage.
  • Strong teamwork and partnership skills, with the ability to create and deliver effective presentations to senior management and stakeholders both in person and virtually. Demonstrates strategic thinking, adaptability to new situations and challenges, and a growth mindset with a willingness to learn and apply new knowledge on the job.
