Join our team as Vice President of Tax Compliance and play a critical role in managing tax obligations for our Argentina operations. You’ll lead compliance activities, support audits, and contribute to the development of new corporate systems. As Vice President of Tax Compliance in Argentina, you will oversee all income and non-income tax obligations for local legal entities, reporting to the Senior Tax Manager. You will supervise tax compliance processes, coordinate with external advisors, and provide tax advisory to local teams. You will also play an active role in the development and implementation of new corporate systems and support corporate projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review income tax, turnover tax, and VAT estimations and tax returns (monthly and annual), and perform other compliance and reporting functions, including payments to local tax authorities
  • Coordinate the month-end close process and prepare and review income tax and turnover tax provisions
  • Oversee the VAT reimbursement process related to export of services
  • Assist the Senior Tax Manager with tax audits and relationships with local tax authorities
  • Prepare corporate reports related to compliance activities, including income tax provision and liability, risk and control reports, internal audits, and legal obligations control
  • Supervise activities performed by external advisors related to income and non-income tax calculations and definitions
  • Provide tax advisory to local teams on Argentine tax matters
  • Review non-income tax returns and perform related compliance and reporting functions
  • Assist with transfer pricing matters and special tax reviews and reporting requirements
  • Support regional and corporate tax, finance, business, and other non-tax led projects
  • Collaborate on tax accounting and compliance, ensuring adherence to organizational tax policies and participating in the development and implementation of local and corporate applications

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • More than 5 years of experience in tax compliance
  • Strong technical skills in tax compliance and reporting
  • Experience managing tax audits and disputes
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal (advanced level)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and able to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and service-focused
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Postgraduate degree in Tax Law
  • Experience within financial institutions
  • Experience with tax technology platforms
  • Experience supporting corporate projects
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements
