Job summary

As a Technology Support II at JP Morgan Chase within Corporate Technology, you play a vital role in maintaining the stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Job responsibilities

  • Analyze and troubleshoot production application flows to support business operations
  • Improve operational stability and availability through active problem management
  • Monitor production environments and address issues using standard observability tools
  • Communicate and escalate issues and solutions to business and technology stakeholders
  • Identify trends and assist in managing incidents, problems, and changes across technology systems
  • Support automation of routine tasks and develop telemetry to enhance critical business flows

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
  • Knowledge of applications or infrastructure in large-scale technology environments, on premises or public cloud
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools and techniques such as Dynatrace, Splunk, or Grafana
  • Familiarity with processes within the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of batch applications, Control-M scheduler, or large-scale data processing
  • Understanding of credit risk concepts

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of one or more general purpose programming languages or automation scripting
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Exposure to Databricks
  • Familiarity with automation in technology operations
