As a Lead Solutions Analyst within Corporate and Investment Banking Payments Technology, you will bridge the gap between product owners, business teams, operations, and software developers by utilizing your technical expertise and strong analytical skills. You will be responsible for eliciting and documenting business and data flow requirements, and translating them into well-structured, technically feasible solutions. Your adaptability and leadership through change will allow you to navigate complex situations and manage dependencies effectively. With a solid foundation in data analytics and technical solutions, you will contribute to the development of innovative architecture designs and data-promoten insights that inform business decisions. Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, will ensure clear and concise information exchange with diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration and alignment across departments.

Job responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive payment solution requirements by engaging with payments product owners, business operations, and technical teams to ensure alignment and feasibility
  • Translate complex product and operations requirements into well-structured technical solutions, leveraging payments business domain and technical knowledge to build strategic payment systems
  • Define system capabilities (the ‘What’) based on scope and elaboration with Product and Operations Partners
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis and interpretation to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, providing actionable insights that support decision-making and key business initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain architecture designs, policies, standards, and governance processes that align technology with business strategy
  • Continuously enhance technical knowledge and stay current with industry trends, ensuring the application of best practices and innovative solutions to address evolving business needs

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in solutions analysis, technical program delivery, or business analysis in payments technology
  • Demonstrated proficiency in payments technology platforms, including hands-on experience with major clearing market infrastructures
  • Advanced knowledge of ISO 20022 and SWIFT messaging, with experience in developing and interpreting data models
  • Strong technical writing skills, with a proven track record of translating complex information into clear and concise documentation for diverse stakeholder audiences
  • SQL Skills to query and analyze business data related to payments domain
  • Advanced knowledge of payment rails in the United States, and other regions
  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills to work effectively across a wide range of stakeholders to gain buy-in and drive progress
  • Working knowledge of data dictionaries/controlled vocabularies,
  • Ability to drive results in a fast-paced- challenging environment and work independently
  • Excellent analytical & problem solving skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge about High Value Payments Systems, Low Value Payments Systems, and Real Time Payment rails
  • Skilled in JIRA tooling to create and manage backlog of development stories and analysis tasks
  • Ability to create and review test plans and scenarios to ensure full coverage with acceptance criteria
