Executive Director: Client Data - Asset Management

The Asset Management India Client & Product teams support the entire client lifecycle, from sales and marketing to data management and analytics, while fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion. Within this, the Global Client Data team plays a crucial role in delivering best-in-class data products, optimizing data operations, and ensuring robust data governance to support sales, marketing, finance, and client services.

About the Role
As a manager within the Global Client Data team, you will lead a team of data professionals aligned to the client data strategy, acting as a key engagement point with global stakeholders and ensuring effective collaboration across the organization.

The team is responsible for the delivery of exception resolution, aligned to strategic data products, inclusive of client and contact lifecycle management, trade matching and research and end user Data support. In parallel the team is at the center of continuous product and process improvement, leveraging data quality metrics and business engagement to drive data efficiency across all client functions.
The lead is responsible to build a scalable and sustainable organization, managing critical data controls, driving stakeholder engagement and collaborating with global data teams to deliver strategic data capabilities.

Job responsibilities
• Oversee and govern business-critical data operating models aligned to all client functions.
• Engage actively with business data custodians to manage data risk through collaborative exception resolution.
• Lead continuous process improvement programs, delivering data controls and efficient operating models.
• Contribute to building data as an asset for the AM Client organization and provide recommendations on data best practices, technologies, and industry trends.
• Build and drive strong stakeholder engagement across business functions, technology partners, and global teams to deliver relevant data solutions.
• Drive the team to achieve the highest levels of data modernization and integrity across the client journey by deploying effective governance and design strategies.
• Create and enforce policies for data acquisition, rationalization, maintenance, and modifications for internal and external data sources.
• Plan, exercise oversight, and control over the management and use of data and data-related applications, such as CRM systems and data warehouses.
• Ideate, initiate, and lead global strategic projects and business process engineering initiatives, applying critical thinking to understand processes, troubleshoot issues, and develop innovative solutions.
• Act as the interface to technical teams and align with other product owners on priorities.
• Lead projects end-to-end in an agile environment, review JIRA boards and user stories, participate in SCRUM ceremonies, drive workshops, and report project progress, while optimizing resources and monitoring critical issues and risks.


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
• Relevant industry experience inclusive of data operating model management.
• Strong academic background with established analytical, programming and technical skills (Certifications in Data Management & Data warehouse domain)
• Experience of data management and data governance constructs inclusive of data quality, data integration and data classification capabilities.
• Strong experience in key areas of data management including data architecture, data quality, data security
• Experience working with an industry recognized CRM platform (Salesforce.com)
• Project Management Background, Product Owner Certifications and AGILE Certifications
• Strong Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent communicator (written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills
• Experienced people manager adept at working in matrix organization and managing dynamic high performance teams
• Understanding of Asset Management business (Investment Management, Mutual Funds, Managed Accounts, and/or Separate Accounts)
• A passion for technology, financial services and asset management.

• Ability to multi-task, plan and manage competing priorities/workflows. Proven ability to quickly learn the business, the application and adapt to ever changing priorities.
