Job Summary
As a Fund Servicing Associate within the JP Morgan Fund Services Trades Team, you will manage and oversee the trade capture, validation, and review of trades recorded in accounting books, ensuring correct valuation for mutual fund clients. Take direct responsibility for the production, review, and delivery of activities related to regulatory requirements and client reporting. Act as a domain expert and escalation point for the team, ensuring timely resolution of issues and maintaining high standards of quality and control across all NAV-impacting and regulatory activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the accurate and timely completion of all reconciliation delivery as per SLA.
- Serve as the overall domain expert for the team, guiding on queries and questions.
- Provide leadership and ownership for all escalations, audits, and client due diligences.
- Develop and implement efficient, standardized workflows with effective controls at key hand-off points.
- Plan and implement AI solutions across various activities to drive efficiency.
- Establish policies, procedures, and guidelines that comply with internal and external controls, continuously strengthening the control environment.
- Assess training needs and ensure effective cross-training, reported through Skills Metrics.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with onshore and governance teams through proactive service delivery and client engagement.
- Own all process-related documentation, including SLA and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring timely updates and sign-off cycles.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 10+ years’ experience in Fund Services Trades or strong understanding of financial markets.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Solid understanding of capital markets and related terminologies.
- In-depth knowledge of global investment markets, instrument types, asset classes, fund types, and accounting policies.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to think creatively and challenge the status quo.
- Experience in people management, including training and resource planning.
- Knowledge of trade capture is essential.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience with Invest One accounting system (beneficial but not essential).
- Understanding of custody operations (beneficial but not essential).
- Knowledge of reconciliation is preferred.
