As an Vice President, Data Visualizaton Manager within the Consumer & Community Banking’s Home Lending line of business, you will define and deliver the group’s strategy and goals. In this leadership role, you will oversee the Business Intelligence team, guiding the design and development of data visualizations and reports that support business objectives. You will manage resources, set priorities, and foster professional growth within the team. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders and utilize a range of analytics tools, including AI/ML solutions, to deliver clear, actionable insights.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the BI team in developing, testing, and producing analytical and operational reports using a collection of BI tools, including Snowflake, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, and similar platforms.
- Oversee the transformation of complex data into visualizations that support decision-making and business strategy.
- Drive the integration of AI/ML solutions into reporting and analytics processes to enhance insights, automation, and predictive capabilities.
- Manage and optimize the suite of BI tools to ensure effective, secure, and scalable analytics solutions.
- Ensure all reporting adheres to technology architecture standards, risk management, security, and data management policies.
- Collaborate with business and technology teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Review reports independently and provide analytical recommendations to drive business outcomes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes and visualization standards.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- At least 3 years of experience managing people, including direct reports.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement strategy that advances the BI team’s capabilities and positions the team for future success.
- Minimum 5 years of development experience with SQL and Snowflake.
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing dashboards with Power BI and Tableau.
- At least 1 year of experience with Alteryx for business intelligence.
- At least 2 years of project management experience, including team leadership.
- Experience with AWS (Athena, S3, Quicksight) and Databricks for data processing and analytics.
- Experience utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) for data analysis and automation.
- Experience reviewing technical specifications and supporting compliance operations testing/production.
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement changes.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Familiarity with SharePoint and JIRA.
- Knowledge of Home Lending business processes and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including guiding and mentoring team members.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management and prioritization abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience designing solutions that consider downstream impacts and can be reused across multiple clients.
