Join the Card Finance Analytics team for a dynamic opportunity to support the growth and success of the Card business by maintaining a P&L forecasting framework and performing financial analysis.
As a Senior Associate in the Card Finance Analytics team, you will build and maintain a P&L forecasting framework and perform financial analysis that directly influences the Card Existing Customer Marketing decision engine. In this role, you will develop expertise in the Card spend engagement marketing investment P&L, campaign results analysis, and the Portfolio Marketing Investment Review process. You will also collaborate closely with key finance teams, Card Controls/Risk, and business partners to drive critical business decisions and deliver financially optimal and effective customer usage programs.
Job responsibilities
- Build clear and concise business cases that explain the reasons, costs, benefits, and potential risks of existing card marketing tactics.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance P&L forecasting to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
- Track, analyze, and interpret campaign performance metrics to leverage past learnings and inform future strategies.
- Work with Marketing, Operations, Finance, D&A, Test Design, Targeting, Campaign Execution, and Risk on optimization recommendations across channels to maximize revenue, as well as both internal and external customer experience.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and automate key areas of the analytic process, reducing manual work and enhancing accuracy.
- Create and deliver presentations for senior leaders that clearly articulate the objectives and financial implications of investments, both at the aggregate level and for individual initiatives.
- Manage multiple initiatives to completion under concurrent, rigorous deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in an analytical or finance-related role
- Proficient in building P&L and financial modeling concepts (NPV, ROI, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Adept at working with granular data tables to draw out segment-level profitability
- Experience in forecasting and budgeting
- Strong quantitative, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and process skills, with attention to detail
- Capable of working autonomously in an ambiguous dynamic, matrixed environment and managing multiple responsibilities with tight timelines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of card and/or banking industries
Experience with Essbase, Tableau, and Alteryx
