As a Security Specialist (Associate) in Global Security, you ensure the safety and security of our Tokyo facilities and employees. You lead the day-to-day management of contracted security personnel, oversee incident response, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a secure and compliant environment. You play a key role in upholding our standards and supporting our business operations.

Job responsibilities:

• Maintain the security of assigned facilities, ensuring only authorized employees and visitors have access
• Supervise contracted security guards, including pre-shift inspections, briefings, and ongoing performance management
• Design and manage scheduling and shift allocations to ensure 24/7 coverage
• Conduct routine investigations and compile timely, consistent reports
• Ensure adherence to all department operating procedures by security personnel
• Liaise with police, fire services, and other agencies during emergencies and for security coordination
• Lead responses to site alarms and coordinate with the Asia Pacific Global Security Operations Center
• Participate in recruitment, orientation, training, and development of security staff
• Manage local and regional administrative requirements, including billing, headcount review, vendor management, and induction for new hires
• Execute other duties or projects as directed by Global Security Senior Managers

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Post-secondary education
• Minimum 10 years of experience in security or related fields
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a similar environment
• Excellent working knowledge of security operations and safety practices
• Strong interpersonal and team skills, with the ability to resolve security concerns and escalate as needed
• Effective multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Proficient reading, writing, and oral communication skills in Japanese
• Basic reading, writing, and oral communication skills in English
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Previous experience in security, military, or police roles
• Experience in the financial sector
