The Chief Administrative Office (CAO) supports global operations across 60 countries, focusing on real estate, supplier services, and security. The CAO Controls team maintains a strong control framework and supports risk initiatives. The Vice President of Process Engineering is a senior role dedicated to optimizing control processes to meet risk management goals. This position collaborates with Control Managers and stakeholders to enhance processes through automation and strategic initiatives, requiring analysis, redesign, and technology leverage for improved efficiency. The Vice President ensures smooth adoption of process changes and enhances control effectiveness.

Job Summary

As the Vice President of Process Engineering within the Controls Team you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and implementing control processes across CAO functions. This position plays a critical part in ensuring that control processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with the firm’s risk management objectives.

You will closely work with the Control Managers, business stakeholders, and technology teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced risk mitigation. The role involves mapping and analyzing existing control processes, recommending and implementing redesigns, and driving strategic initiatives that support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

This position requires a hands-on approach to process engineering, including conducting root cause analyses of process failures, developing remediation plans, and ensuring systematic documentation and reporting of process changes and outcomes. The Vice President is expected to stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies, proactively identifying ways to leverage automation and digital tools to strengthen the control environment.

The role also involves influencing and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure process changes are adopted smoothly and deliver measurable improvements in control effectiveness and efficiency.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and implement process engineering strategies to optimize control management frameworks and support organizational risk management objectives.
  • Lead the team in mapping, analyzing, and redesigning control processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and risk mitigation.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation within control processes, collaborating with technology partners to implement solutions.
  • Conduct root cause analyses of process failures and design remediation plans to address control gaps.
  • Engage with a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure process changes are aligned with business needs and control priorities.
  • Oversee the collection and analysis of process-related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) and develop reports to inform business strategies and decision-making.
  • Ensure systematic documentation and reporting of process engineering initiatives, outcomes, and risk assessments.
  • Mentor and develop the Process Engineering and Controls Team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 7+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance.
  • Expertise in process mapping, analysis, redesign, automation, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of process mapping using tools such as SAP Signavio, Camunda, Microsoft Visio or similar platforms

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of intelligent automation tools such as Tableau, Python, Alteryx, UI Path, or similar.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.
