Job Summary
As a Fund Servicing Associate within the JP Morgan Fund Services Trades Team, you will manage and oversee the trade capture, validation, and review of trades recorded in accounting books, ensuring correct valuation for mutual fund clients. Collaborate with offshore teams, maintain strong client relationships, and participate in projects and centralized functions. Lead and supervise team members, drive process improvements, and ensure high standards of accuracy, control, and client service.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver timely and accurate performance reports, including attribution, contribution, risk, and other analyses, to clients.
- Coordinate with offshore locations to ensure efficient and accurate report preparation.
- Understand and apply performance methodologies used in the Performance system.
- Maintain client relationships through effective query management and regular interaction.
- Regularly review processes and performance to enhance departmental competency and ratings.
- Review files in accordance with internal control checklists for portfolio-specific items.
- Investigate, resolve, and substantiate key differences in reconciliations between client accounting and custody accounts.
- Maintain adequate documentation to support all items, especially unusual transactions or discrepancies.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of investment instruments, markets, and their impact on portfolio valuation.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Demonstrate experience in performance measurement, attribution, contribution analysis, and risk analytics.
- Exhibit strong technical knowledge of investment instruments and global markets.
- Show proven ability to deliver accurate and timely reports in a deadline-driven environment.
- Display effective communication and client relationship management skills.
- Apply strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and offshore teams.
- Lead and supervise team members, providing guidance and feedback.
- Maintain high attention to detail and commitment to quality and control.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Possess experience with performance analytics systems and methodologies.
- Demonstrate familiarity with portfolio optimization and manager analysis.
- Show experience in process improvement, automation, and documentation.
- Exhibit advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience with automation tools is a plus.
- Display a continuous improvement mindset and willingness to take on additional responsibilities and projects.
