Join our team as an Associate, US Payroll, where you’ll play a key role in managing end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring compliance with US regulations, and driving process improvements. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners, lead payroll workstreams, and support the implementation of innovative solutions that enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Job Summary:

As the Associate, US Payroll within the payroll team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of payroll services, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and promoting process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of payroll workstreams, managing timelines, and quality to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Improve process improvement and update payroll processes to facilitate efficient execution.
  • Provide expertise in US payroll regulations and systems to lead and support the team effectively.
  • Oversee end-to-end test management, including the creation of test strategies, plans, and cases, automation scripting, defect and gap analysis, and leakage analysis.
  • Manage business user expectations and ensure clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide sign-off for changes to be promoted to production, ensuring all necessary criteria are met.
  • Resolve escalated risks, assumptions, and issues, ensuring they are managed effectively.
  • Generate comprehensive reports summarizing progress, execution, and results.
  • Adhere to the bank’s internal processes, including configuration management, change control, and access to data and systems.
  • Implement process improvements across the project.
  • Coordinate delivery management through vendors and internal entities such as data centers and development teams.

Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Proven experience in payroll management, particularly in managing US payroll processes.
  • Strong expertise in payroll regulations and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage risks and resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6-9 years of experience in payroll management or a similar role.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP - Certified Payroll Professional)
  • Experience working with offshore teams and vendors
