As a EMEA Credit Trading Risk & P&L Product Controller in the EMEA Credit Trading Risk and P&L team, you will support the European Credit Markets business by ensuring accurate risk and P&L reporting. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to a wide range of financial products and processes. Job responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate daily reporting of profit and loss and risk exposures to the trading desk
  • Demonstrate understanding of terms and calculations used in P&L and risk reporting
  • Uphold high standards to maintain the accuracy and integrity of business records
  • Provide insightful commentary linking P&L to trading strategies and market changes
  • Collaborate with Traders, Trader Assistants, Financial Control, Valuation Control, and External Reporting teams to ensure correct month-end numbers
  • Participate in projects to enhance risk and P&L aggregation tools
  • Ensure adherence to internal and external regulations, including Antitrust compliance
  • Challenge and improve existing processes for greater efficiency and accuracy
  • Support balance sheet and capital management initiatives
  • Engage with various groups to broaden your understanding of the business
  • Foster a positive and approachable team culture

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience working in the financial industry with exposure to accounting and financial statements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player across diverse functions, locations, and businesses
  • Excellent Excel and computer skills
  • Strong analytical skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in Product Control or Financial Control
  • Project management experience or skills
  • Exposure to risk and P&L reporting for credit trading businesses
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in financial services
  • Experience working with complex financial products such as CDS, bonds, or bespoke baskets
  • Ability to drive process improvements and automation
  • Experience collaborating with technology teams
