The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at J.P. Morgan Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) is responsible for accelerating AWM’s data and analytics journey. This includes ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of AWM's data, as well as leveraging this data to generate insights and drive decision-making. The CDAO is also responsible for maximizing the value and impact of our data, responsibly. We collaborate with business, technology, operations, control, and other key stakeholders to achieve our goals. Our teams cover all aspects of the data lifecycle, ensuring governance standards are met while making data easy to discover and consume.
Job Summary
As a Senior Associate in the Strategic Global Authorities Program, you will oversee the end-to-end process of data extraction, transformation, and validation, managing a team of Associates and Analysts to ensure high-quality and timely delivery. You will lead the review and resolution of complex authority conflicts, including those found in bespoke client documentation, and ensure all information aligns with regulatory requirements and internal frameworks. You will coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues, promote process improvements, and prepare executive-level dashboards and reports for senior management. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in the successful execution of this multi-year initiative.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the resolution of the most complex authority conflicts and regulatory compliance issues, serving as the subject matter expert for escalated cases.
- Drive initiatives to enhance data validation processes, implement best practices, and ensure alignment with evolving regulatory requirements and internal frameworks.
- Develop comprehensive executive reporting and analytics, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on program performance and risk mitigation.
- Provide oversight and leadership for the entire data review, validation, and remediation process within the Strategic Global Authorities Program.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and stakeholders, across Product, Technology and Operation teams.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to leverage technology and optimize operational efficiency.
- Manage, develop, and optimize a high-performing team of Associates and Analysts, ensuring consistent delivery of quality outcomes within established timelines.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts to integrate program outcomes with broader organizational objectives and regulatory initiatives.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or related field, 8+ years of relevant experience in data analysis or related roles within financial services industry.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities, with proven ability to navigate complex regulatory and operational challenges, Proven experience in managing complex data validation and remediation projects.
- Extensive experience with regulatory documentation, authority management processes, and compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, including experience developing talent and driving team engagement, Exceptional communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, including ability to present complex findings to senior management.
- Strategic thinking and process improvement mindset, with ability to identify and architect analytical solutions leveraging Alteryx, SQL and Tableau.
- Strong business acumen and planning abilities, with experience driving business and process transformation, Project management capabilities with experience supporting multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Experience with client onboarding, KYC, and reference data management is preferred.
