Job Summary
As an Associate in Fund Accounting Trades, you will be responsible for the accurate capture, validation, and reconciliation of fund accounting trades. You will ensure proper booking in fund accounting books, perform broker reconciliations for Exchange Traded Derivatives products, and support continuous process improvement. This role requires strong subject matter expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external brokers.
Job Responsibilities
- Process and review electronically instructed trades received from upstream systems.
- Perform trade reconciliations between client blotters and broker records.
- Execute position and total equity reconciliations with brokers.
- Conduct validation checks and control reviews to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks in a timely manner.
- Liaise with internal teams and external brokers to support issue resolution.
- Ensure adherence to defined SOPs, controls, and audit requirements.
- Support knowledge sharing and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Graduate/MBA with 6+ years of experience in trades or fund accounting domain.
- Operational subject matter expertise in reconciliation, settlements, and trade support.
- Experience in fund accounting, risk & control, and custody.
- Strong ability to learn new markets, products, and processes.
- Strong risk and control awareness; ability to prioritize workloads and meet critical deadlines.
- Confident communicator across all mediums with both internal and external clients.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of implementing process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience with Exchange Traded Derivatives products.
- Exposure to process automation or digital tools.
- Advanced Excel or data analysis skills.
