CIB Business Support Management - Global T&E HUB Lead

Business Support Management (BSM) is a dedicated, specialist support function, leveraged by the CIB to increase control, reduce bureaucracy, and facilitate partnerships with Corporate groups.
As a Vice President within BSM team you will be responsible for managing the Global Expense Management (Travel & Entertainment) teams, based in Mumbai, India, and associated processes, delivering on the required services to CIB globally. The candidate must demonstrate experience of managing operations with highly effective communication & organizational skills. The role includes enhancing team performance and employee experience, while partnering with HR for recruitment and career development.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Managing day to day operations across regional teams including resourcing, escalations etc.
- Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices – with an aim of ensuring high levels of quality and controls
- Manage stakeholder relationships across Expense Management Team and BSM, providing regular updates on KPIs, initiatives etc.
- Partnering with HR and other support groups to manage recruitment, retention, career development and performance management - including identifying and executing mobility and coaching opportunities
- Drive efficiencies across processes and connectivity between regional teams to ensure continued productivity, process improvement and drive global standardization.
- Data analysis to monitor volumes, detect potential efficiencies, control gaps and ensure balanced allocation of resourcing to meet both BAU and strategic initiatives.
- Play a pivotal role in expansions by partnering with regional leads to understand the expansion plans and anticipate resource requirements while driving efficiencies.
- Maintaining expected quality and controls including overall process documentations
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant people management experience
- A self-starter who consistently strives for excellence in both people and process management
- Good leadership qualities with the ability to provide direction, build strong relationships, with good listening and influencing skills
- Experience in handling multiple stakeholders across various functions
- Enforce a dynamic control/compliance environment and continually mitigate risk in business processes
- Experience with statistical analysis, data processing and presentation to stakeholder audiences.
- Proficiency in process engineering and migration, documentation and implementation
- Analytical thinking – ability to understand data requirement, analyze and suggest solutions
- Strategic thinking and experience with problem solving & implementation of new ideas
- Develop and implement meaningful performance metrics
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation) and ability to influence stakeholders
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with handling a process with onshore – offshore model
- Understanding of various Automation tools to suggest ideas and work with implementation teams.
