As a Vice President you will play a pivotal role within the Director Advisory Services (DAS) team, focusing on Director Engagement. You will be dedicated to cultivating and sustaining relationships with board members of GIB’s VIP client companies. The VP will proactively initiate and drive communications with directors, providing tailored support and guidance to strengthen these relationships and ensure ongoing engagement with the JPM platform of services.
In this capacity, you will institutionalize board engagement, enhance strategic dialogue, and position the firm as a trusted advisor on enterprise-level priorities such as capital strategy, risk management, M&A, and long-term value creation.
As the primary JPMorgan point of contact for directors’ board-related needs, you will facilitate introductions both internally and externally to support business growth in alignment with strategic GIB VIP clients and breakthrough company targets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with Board Directors across designated priority clients
- Partner with coverage bankers and product teams to develop board engagement strategies
- Coordinate executive-level interactions between client boards and the firm’s senior leadership
- Prepare leadership for board-facing meetings with tailored insights and governance intelligence
- Track board composition changes, committee priorities, and governance developments
- Stay abreast of trends in board composition, governance, and director recruitment.
- Identify early indicators of strategic activity and mobilize internal teams accordingly
- Support planning for board dinners, strategy sessions, and governance roundtables
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Proven experience in executive search, board advisory, or a related field.
- Strong network within the executive and board community, especially in NAMR.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Understanding of board governance, director recruitment, and the dynamics of public and private company boards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams.
