Job Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare day-to-day activities in accordance with SOPs and within agreed client deadlines and SLAs.
- Analyze client accounting records and raise queries, escalating potential issues as appropriate.
- Escalate concerns regarding anomalies in any activity that may result in audit findings for clients.
- Interact with stakeholders to respond to any accounting-related queries that may arise.
- Recognize and act on opportunities to improve processes, including developing and recommending changes, and encourage the team to suggest ideas for efficiency.
- Ensure all risk and control checks are adhered to, follow all required checklists and SOPs, and maintain them up to date at all times.
- Liaise with the OCM (internal control) team on any issues that require review.
- Complete end-of-day checklists and other end-of-day hygiene activities.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrate 3+ years’ experience in Fund Services Trades or a strong understanding of financial markets.
- Hold a postgraduate qualification with knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Trade Capture, or Reconciliation (added value).
- Exhibit strong attention to detail in document review and analytical capabilities in relation to Fund Accounting trade details and reporting.
- Apply knowledge and understanding of Mutual Funds and NAV.
- Utilize analytical and prioritization skills to make sound judgments.
- Communicate effectively with excellent written and verbal skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrate experience in implementing process improvements and managing change initiatives.
- Showcase advanced analytical skills and experience in Fund Accounting trade details and reporting.
- Possess familiarity with audit processes and internal controls.
- Exhibit leadership qualities in mentoring junior team members and acting as a technical reference point.
