As a Regulatory Controls Manager within Banking Operations (Asia Cash), you lead end‑to‑end delivery of APAC regulatory obligations and control outcomes. You architect and embed control frameworks, document transactional compliance requirements, and elevate the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of regulatory reporting. You partner with Compliance, Product, and regional stakeholders to drive change, automation, and sustainable risk reduction.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of the regulatory agenda across APAC Cash Banking Operations.
- Document and implement transactional regulatory compliance requirements for APAC jurisdictions.
- Build and embed a robust control framework with clear procedures to minimize operational and compliance risk.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the regulatory environment and its implications for Banking Operations.
- Govern regulatory change by assessing impacts, updating processes, and managing evolving requirements.
- Ensure regulatory reporting is accurate, complete, and timely; implement tactical controls and drive automation.
- Deliver regulatory-related projects across Automation and Change Management workstreams.
- Partner closely with Compliance, Product, LCOs, BCOs, and regional leaders on regulatory initiatives.
- Monitor control performance, analyze issues, and escalate risks promptly to reduce exposure.
- Standardize metrics and reporting that evidence the health of the operational risk and control environment.
- Influence cross-regional alignment by coordinating with local, regional, and global teams to ensure consistent execution.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bring 10+ years of experience within a financial institution, spanning controls, risk, operations, or regulatory delivery.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of banking products, Asia markets, and the APAC regulatory environment.
- Apply expert knowledge of SWIFT and international payment conventions alongside payment processing operations.
- Lead people effectively by engaging talent, setting direction, and modeling high standards.
- Communicate proactively up to executive levels, build strong relationships, and manage conflicts constructively.
- Drive change at scale across direct and remote teams; adapt quickly to new structures and priorities.

- Sustain high standards of controls and compliance while implementing and managing change across units.
