Vice President Data Owner Lead - Connected Commerce

As a Vice President Data Owner in Connected Commerce, you will support the execution of strategic initiatives that enhance the Data Owner experience across the organization. You will work closely with Data Owners to implement consistent data management practices, drive adoption of firmwide tools, and ensure strategic materials are maintained and up to date. You will also own a data domain within a specific product, serving as the subject matter expert and enabling the business to innovate through strategic data use while maintaining the highest standards of data quality and protection.

You will help standardize and optimize Data Owner touchpoints and processes, contributing to increased consistency and uplift of the role across the enterprise. Your efforts will support the development and adoption of frameworks, promote comprehensive data quality processes, and ensure adherence to firmwide controls, audit, and governance requirements.

Job responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of roadmaps, roadshow, and marketing materials for Data Owners across multiple products in Connected Commerce
  • Support the development and adoption of frameworks to standardize the Connected Commerce Data Owner operating model
  • Develop processes to monitor and track data usage both within and outside the firm
  • Establish and promote comprehensive data quality processes to support AI initiatives and manage consistent execution across Data Owner groups
  • Oversee the development and execution of project plans, tracking timelines and milestones for strategic initiatives
  • Monitor and anticipate industry trends in data management, processing, and analytical tooling to recommend innovative solutions
  • Develop expertise in a data domain within a specific product and build collaborative relationships as the domain expert
  • Partner with aligned Product leads, Tech leads, and Data Scientists to drive increased business value through the identification of data required to support business capabilities and advanced analytics
  • Identify the scope of critical data within the business, ensuring prioritized data is well-documented and classified with metadata
  • Ensure adherence to firmwide controls, audit, and governance requirements related to data integrity and protection
  • Assist in sprint planning, execution and other scrum events for technology development teams focused on data publishing and quality

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Exceptional skill in designing visually compelling, sharp, and professional presentations
  • Exceptional skill in crafting narratives that resonate with diverse audiences
  • Ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with large groups of stakeholders, influence decision-making, and drive alignment
  • Strong ability to manage project execution, identifying and mitigating risks and inefficiencies
  • Experience managing tight delivery timelines across multiple workstreams
  • Strong ability to query and manipulate data using SQL or Python

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • CSS/HTML, Agile and Scrum frameworks and their application in Product development and delivery
  • Experience working with data management or governance frameworks
  • Familiarity with AI initiatives and supporting data quality processes
  • Experience building collaborative relationships as a domain expert
  • Ability to monitor and anticipate industry trends in data management and analytics
  • Experience supporting the adoption of firmwide tools and processes, ensuring adherence to controls, audit, and governance requirements
