Financial Analysis Senior Associate - Chase Co-Brand

Join the Chase Co-Brand CFO team for a dynamic opportunity to be a Finance partner and trusted advisor to the Co-Brand Partner business teams. The team is responsible for co-branded card portfolios' financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting/forecasting, business cases and ad hoc coverage as need be. The team partners closely with business partners and other key Finance and functional teams.
As a Senior Associate in the Chase Co-Brand CFO team, you will be responsible for partnering across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. You will analyze, prepare, and reconcile accounting and technical data as well as prepare reports, while consistently thinking of and devising ways to streamline and minimize cycle times through automated applications and process improvement. You will also help develop recommendations effecting business procedures and operations and maintain financial and reporting systems. In addition, you will assist the department and other team members with special projects or components of other projects as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting, budgeting and analysis
- Act as the Co-Brand portfolio's Finance point of contact for business teams and other key stakeholders
- Create financial business cases supporting business initiatives and prepare presentation materials to facilitate decision-making
- Develop and track key performance metrics, create presentations, and generally provide financial analysis on a variety of topics to senior management
- Perform variance analysis to understand the key drivers of the results and present commentary to senior managers, explaining changes from prior forecasts/budgets
- Help design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver the financial results to senior management
- Enhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation where possible
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a subject of a technical nature
- 4+ years of work experience with a background in Finance, Business Management, Planning & Analysis, Accounting/Controller or similar backgrounds
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, and capable of challenging peers
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
- Ability to create ad hoc reporting for senior management
- Proven track record for executing on special projects / assignments with often little lead time or information
- Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
