As a Communications Senior Associate Business Banking within Consumer and Community Banking you will play a key supporting role in executing communications strategies that highlight JPMorganChase’s commitment to small businesses. The role spans media relations support, internal communications, event logistics, editorial calendars, social media content, and project management across brand, PR, content, government relations, and external agencies. You will help lead awareness, engagement, and operational excellence, working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support execution of communications plans for the firmwide small business initiative and Business Banking programs/experiences and draft and edit press materials, pitches, talking points, and thought leadership content highlighting customer impact and firm initiatives.
  • Assist with media relations for external events: track coverage, maintain press lists, and support responses to media inquiries.
  • Coordinate and help execute internal communications: town halls, employee events, newsletters, intranet updates.
  • Provide logistical and communications support for internal events, ensuring clear messaging and strong employee engagement.
  • Maintain and update editorial calendars (internal and external) to ensure timely, consistent messaging.
  • Assist in the creation and scheduling of social content to amplify key messages across platforms.
  • Collaborate with partners across the firm (Corporate Communications, Marketing, Government Relations, and Business Banking) to ensure message alignment and maximize impact.
  • Track and report on communications metrics, media coverage, and engagement; inform future strategy and demonstrate value.
  • Manage the firmwide initiative to position JPMorganChase as the nation’s leading bank for small business—highlighting and humanizing impact, and connecting policymakers with Main Street.
  • Oversee cross-functional workstreams (brand, PR, content, government relations, external agencies), with a strong focus on timelines, milestones, and risk/issue management to keep projects on track.
  • Lead executive updates: develop deck templates, gather stakeholder inputs, coordinate meetings, and prepare presenters for status reviews and establish clear operating rhythms, documentation, and workflows to streamline execution and improve consistency.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 4 plus years of experience in communications, public relations, media relations, or a related field, ideally within financial services or a large, matrixed organization.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills; ability to tailor messages for multiple audiences.
  • Experience supporting media relations (press materials, coverage tracking) and internal communications (events, newsletters, intranet).
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong partner management skills; excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills; approachable, responsive, and solutions-oriented.
  • Demonstrated independence, energy, integrity, and respect for diverse perspectives.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on quality, timeliness, and clear communications.
  • Effective under pressure; adaptable in matrixed environments with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
