Provide executive oversight for J.P. Morgan’s largest custody platform in EMEA and join a dynamic, growth oriented team with cross-border responsibility.
As a Luxembourg Platform Manager (Associate), you will provide executive oversight for J.P. Morgan’s largest custody platform in EMEA, directly supporting over 60 front office professionals and acting as a critical regulatory and operational hub for eight markets. This role is pivotal in safeguarding $117.7bn in custody balances and $54.5bn in advisory assets, ensuring the platform’s continued leadership in the region.
Job Responsibilities:
Orchestrate the delivery, coordination, and timely completion of complex EMEA and Luxembourg regulatory initiatives, including but not limited to IPISC Data Collection that is conducted by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) on cross border activities for retail clients across JPMSE; DGSD external audits including stress testing as well as Luxembourg Inactive reports.
Ensure the full compliance with evolving local and cross-border regulations, maintaining the platform’s reputation as a highly regulated and trusted entity.
Drive the seamless integration of the Private Bank within the Luxembourg branch and across multiple business lines, driving operational efficiency and advancing strategic growth initiatives—including the EMEA client mobility review and the Luxembourg platform tax review, latter is critical to onboarding Luxembourg individual clients onto the platform.
Support the Head of the Luxembourg platform on strategic initiatives including regulatory visits by the CSSF and the ECB as well as ensure organizational readiness and serve as a key escalation point for emerging issues.
Foster a strong risk management culture by proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks across the platform.
Own and oversee Banker entitlements throughout EMEA, ensuring secure and compliant access to the Luxembourg platform in accordance with stringent secrecy requirements.
Direct Business Management’s ALR controls, providing comprehensive training and clear guidelines to the India-based team to maintain high standards of compliance.
Lead governance and oversight for all Business Management outsourcing activities, ensuring robust controls and adherence to regulatory expectations and partner with senior stakeholders to deliver timely, effective responses to regulatory inquiries and audit examinations.
Drive process optimization and transformation initiatives, representing Business Management as the EMEA Cross Border Lead and align cross-border frameworks and documentation with business strategy, actively participating in monthly steering committees and governance forums.
Act as liaison for regulatory authorities, auditors ( internal and external), and senior leadership as well as deliver strategic insights and recommendations to executive management, ensuring business objectives remain aligned with regulatory requirements and firm-wide priorities.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area, with strong professional experience.
Previous product knowledge and/or prior Business Management or COO experience within a Financial Services environment preferably Private Banking/Wealth Management or Asset Management.
Excellent English language skills, written and verbal communication and an ability to articulate in both verbal and written presentations to colleagues at all levels across functions.
Able to forge strong internal relationships across a broad range of functions.
Self-motivated, tenacious and is able to work with high degree of independence with the ability to prioritize and multi-task while handling confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
Able to both define and deliver to conclusion a strategic agenda across multiple groups.
Excellent project management and organizational skills as well as attention to detail with logical thought process.
