As a Product Director in CAP, Card Acquisitions Product, you will manage the relationship and budget for a group of external suppliers / partners who play an integral role in the acquisitions process for both Consumer and Business Card. As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, leverage supplier platforms to remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs. We are seeking a dynamic Strategic Partnerships Director to lead and deliver complex solutions aligned with the product teams’ strategic direction, from conception to successful completion, partnering across varied stakeholders to achieve impactful business outcomes.
Job responsibilities
• Manage relationships with high-profile external partners, maintaining a strong focus on delivering solution-oriented support for Chase’s strategic initiatives and requests.
• Creates and oversees the supplier roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
• Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, to achieve contracts favorable to Chase, a balanced budget and best in class supplier oversight.
• Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation amongst supplier solutions
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders at all levels.
• Oversee the development and execution of modernization efforts, focusing on architecture and operational efficiency.
• Leverage technical expertise and product knowledge to effectively translate business requirements into innovative technology solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and enhancing product value.
• Support product teams in navigating supplier and organizational roadblocks and fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
• 10+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
• Track record of close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to successfully launch complex solutions.
• Strong executive communication and narrative skills, with a proven ability to engage and influence senior technical and business leaders.
• Strategic thinker with strong execution skills and a results-oriented mindset.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving business needs.
• Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
• Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in contract negotiations, budget management and business case development
• Capable of finding clarity and direction when faced with ambiguity
• Tangible and direct experience in formulating and communicating a clear product strategy in both written and verbal form at an executive level
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
• Recognized thought leader within a related field
• Master’s degree or relevant advanced certification
• Experience in technology-driven organizations or programs
• Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams
• Experience developing a high performing team
• Experience working with executive leadership and presenting complex strategies
