Job Summary:
As a Senior Lead Software Engineer in Asset Wealth Management, you will play a key role in enhancing, building, and delivering high-quality technology products. You will work within an agile team, applying your deep technical expertise to solve diverse challenges across multiple technologies and applications. You will help shape our architecture, drive innovation, and foster a collaborative team culture. Your work will directly support our mission to deliver secure, stable, and scalable solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the design, development, and deployment of applications aligned with business and functional requirements.
  • Build Java-based microservices using streaming, non-blocking, and reactive programming paradigms.
  • Architect and operate scalable systems leveraging Kafka, IBM MQ, Kubernetes, Redis, Amazon MSK, and AWS services.
  • Drive adoption of domain-driven design and support multi-asset trading capabilities.
  • Define and maintain technical documentation and service APIs, ensuring robust logging, auditability, security, and monitoring.
  • Participate in API design sessions and guide integration approaches.
  • Lead and participate in code reviews, enforcing high maintainability and quality through TDD/BDD practices.
  • Validate service scalability and resilience using mock testing frameworks and performance testing strategies.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Java with a strong willingness to code hands-on.
  • Experience delivering distributed systems handling large data volumes and real-time distribution.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD, DevOps toolchains, and agile, test-driven delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with caching technologies such as Redis, GemFire, or Apache Ignite.
  • Hands-on experience with messaging and streaming platforms like Kafka and IBM MQ.
  • Solid understanding of microservices, REST APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, and event-driven architectures.
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and grow engineering talent.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience with the Spring ecosystem and AWS cloud services.
  • Experience building trading systems; familiarity with FIX protocol.
  • Ability to solve complex, mission-critical problems with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
  • Continuous learner and early adopter of emerging technologies and practices.
