As a Product Manager in IP Foundational Services Data Protection Product Line, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
Own the end-to-end management of data lake and its function, ensuring business continuity, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective operations. Translate stakeholder intent (data owners, platform teams, risk/compliance) into clear product outcomes and guardrails for backup, restore, retention, and reporting. Key stakeholders include Application Owners, security, risk, compliance, and records management, SRE/operations, Finance/FinOps (for cost reporting and efficiency)

Job responsibilities
  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap
  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
  • Capture documented intent from stakeholders; set measurable SLAs (data collection and publishing) and enforce via processes and automation.
  • Establish data protection guardrails, data contracts, and runbooks; ensure alignment with security, privacy, and records management.
  • Prioritize backlog; coordinate engineering, platform, and SRE teams to implement backup/restore workflows, test DR scenarios, and remediate gaps.
  • Provide compliance evidence packs, dashboards, and monthly scorecards covering job success, coverage, retention adherence, and restore performance.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • 2+ Years experience in Data lake architecture and catalogs
  • Understanding of IT Infrastructure i.e. Network, Storage, Compute and Data Protection
  • Product skills include Road mapping, measurable OKRs; stakeholder discovery; prioritization and backlog management.
  • Agile delivery with engineering/SRE; translating “intent to consume” into enforceable policies and guardrails.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices in an environment with Python, Oracle and Cassandra.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • AWS/Azure/GCP data or security certs; Commvault or equivalent vendor certifications; ITIL or PMP/Scrum for delivery rigor.
  • Banking/financial services, healthcare, or other audit-heavy environments.
  • Ability to read dashboards/SQL/logs and run light scripting for analysis and validation.
