The CCB Product Governance and Strategy Control Manager is an influential team leader who supports the Consumer & Community Banking’s in developing a sound risk & control framework Product Development Life Cycle, as well as enabling the Product Control Managers to implement automated controls as Products continue to implement new initiatives.
The role provides strategic thought leadership on integrating Firmwide and CCB innovation strategies and influencing how we operate in the CCB Product Development Lifecycle by identifying opportunities to enhance and improve key control expectations. The successful execution of responsibilities requires the ability to influence outcomes, partner, and effectively communicate across Consumer & Community Banking’s control teams, business units, and support functions. Technical skills, LLM and knowledge of True CD and the Product Development Life Cycle will help this individual succeed.
Job responsibilities:
- Work closely with the CCB Product Operations office to ensure the Product Development Lifecycle supporting the 100 CCB products has the appropriate structure to implement strong controls as new initiatives are built.
- Facilitate cross-functional working teams to proactively identify opportunities to capture existing Automated controls that are not in CORE and identify opportunities where stronger controls are needed.
- Calibrate controls across CCB to identify opportunities to uplift CORE controls with a focus on standard controls for common risks and shifting from manual to tech enabled.
- Partner with CCB Control managers to identify controls that can benefit from ongoing validation (automated auditing/continuous testing).
- Act as Control Manager for CCB Product and Experience and CCB Data & Analytics common controls and regulatory assessments.
- Provide ongoing feedback and training to develop employees on risk concepts and the application to risk and control evaluation.
- Display confident leadership and sound judgment to influence a strong risk management culture across business practices.
- Promote a sustainable and rigorous control environment that identifies, escalates, addresses, and mitigates risks in a timely manner.
- Lead by example, with exemplary personal and professional attributes. Inspire confidence in all levels of staff as well as key partners from other functional areas and across Lines of Business

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 10+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, risk management, compliance or technology
- Experience leading broad cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and deliver best practices
- Demonstrate confident leadership and sound judgment to influence a strong culture and risk management
- Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, enhance, and evaluate operational risk frameworks
- Knowledge of Agile methodology in product/technology development lifecycle management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and the ability to develop compelling and meaningful executive presentations that will drive opportunities / recommendation for improvement
