As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the CCB - CCVoice, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and efficient back-end and front-end software solutions using Java, Spring and AWS Services.
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
- Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
- Provide hands-on leadership to a team of software engineers, offering guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to drive performance.
- Actively participate in code reviews, providing feedback and suggestions to improve code quality and maintainability.
- Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices within the team, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and conventions.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve software issues, while continuously working to optimize performance, scalability, and security.
- Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
- Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Support internal end users by troubleshooting application issues and creating sustainable solutions.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on Java, J2EE, AWS, Cloud concepts and 8 plus years of applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture and mentor other team members.
- Proven experience in software development, specifically using Java, spring based technologies in AWS / Cloud environment or Kubernetes
- Python based implementation for cloud and AI
- Advanced knowledge in one or more programming language(s)
- Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Strong skills in the software architecture and tech stack decision making.
- Strong background in working with APIs (especially Open API), ensuring efficient communication and integration between different systems.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Excellent intercultural, verbal, and written communication skills, with an emphasis on tactful delivery of opinions and feedback.
- Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and developer tools utilization and Devops exposure.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience
- Ability to multi-task under deadlines.
- Interacts with external vendors both at a technical and relationship level
- Demonstrated track record or strong passion for learning new technologies
- Proven leadership traits with previous roles
- Experience working at code level
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies, with a focus on public cloud platforms like AWS, Kubernetes
- Contact center skills using Voice XML(VXML), Automated Speech Recognition (ASR) and Text to Speech (TTS) and Genesys voice platform (GVP) Or Amazon Connect, Lex and AWS

Proven experience in call center technologies in building and supporting IVRs in the Amazon Connect platform.
Carry out critical tech solutions across multiple technical areas as an integral part of an agile team as a Lead Software Engineer
