As an Analytics Solutions Senior Associate in the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Global Finance & Business Management (F&BM) Team, you will develop management reporting, metrics, and data-driven solutions that improve profitability and efficiency across operations. You’ll learn core business processes, build new capabilities, and provide decision support through ad hoc reporting and analytics. You will lead data strategy initiatives, help identify and mitigate operational risks, and support strategic programs for senior stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze and map current processes, propose improvements, and document current versus future state.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful process changes.
  • Support change management through clear communication, training, and adoption planning.
  • Lead analytics and reengineering workstreams, escalating risks and blockers to meet strategic objectives.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of process and analytics initiatives.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions that enable process automation and robust data management; leverage analytics tools to generate insights.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, changes, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
  • Champion continuous improvement by soliciting feedback and iterating on solutions.
  • Follow control procedures and data quality checks; identify, escalate, and help mitigate risks in line with firmwide standards.
  • Align strategic data initiatives with business goals; support data governance, lineage, and data quality efforts.
  • Communicate insights, metrics, and recommendations to senior leadership and partner teams with clarity and influence.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Engineering).
  • At least 5 years of experience in analytics or transformation within financial services.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
  • Proficiency with enterprise data visualization platforms for data modeling and dashboarding.
  • Experience with enterprise workflow and issue-tracking tools used for project management.
  • Technical expertise in data extraction, transformation (ETL), and scalable solution design.
  • Proven project management abilities and stakeholder relationship-building.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to convey complex information clearly and influence decisions across diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Programming proficiency in Python or R.
  • Experience with modern cloud-based data platforms and distributed data systems.
  • Familiarity with data cataloging, lineage, and data quality validation practices.
  • Experience with version control systems and basic scheduling/automation concepts.
  • Knowledge of basic descriptive statistics, trend analysis, and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Experience in business strategy, KPI definition, and measurement frameworks.
